From FarmViller Fuel is used for functioning vehicles. When you first purchase a vehicle, you are given 150 fuel units, which fills up one full supply. All vehicles share the same fuel supply, which holds up to 150 units. One unit of fuel is used per a plot of land. The time it takes for one fuel unit to be replaced depends on the size of your farm. Small farms replace fuel the slowest, taking 24 minutes for one unit (60 hours to refill an empty supply); medium farms replace one unit of fuel in 12 minutes (30 hours to refill an empty supply); large farms replace it the quickest, taking 9.6 minutes to replace one unit (24 hours to refill an empty supply). Fuel refills are also available in the market using Farm Cash, can be found within Mystery Boxes, Mystery Gifts, and Mystery Eggs, and 5 full tanks of fuel will be rewarded (along with coins and experience) for trading in a Collection. Beginning November 30, 2010, 20 Fuel Refills were also available through redeeming 755 American Express Membership Rewards. Beginning December 16, 2010, 20 Fuel Refills were also available through redeeming 1,400 Citi Rewards. Introduced March 4, 2010, fuel refills can also be discovered while plowing your fields or fertilizing neighbors' crops. Both of these new methods allow for fuel supplies to be posted on the Facebook wall for neighbors to collect, as well; the amount received from the wall with these methods depends on the size of the receiver's farm. Fuel comes in several different sizes, including a fifth of a refill. There is one particularly good use for a 1/5 Fuel Tank: If your tank is currently less than 1/5 empty, adding 1/5 tank of fuel will increment the number of full tanks, and provide you a nearly empty tank which will be refilled over time (see above). If your tank is nearly full and you do not anticipate using fuel for a number of hours, this enables you to "collect" more fuel than you would have otherwise. Free Fuel WeekFree Fuel Week enables a farmer to receive a full fuel refill for every consecutive day they return to their farm (1 refill on the first day, 2 refills on the second day etc.), allowing you to receieve a total of 28 fuel refills if the farm is visited everyday during the event. Fuel For Coins Fuel for coins was introduced April 29, 2010 for players level 20 and above. It requires a co-op mission to be completed between April 29th, 2010 and May 4, 2010.
